This is a video presentation of the research project I conducted exploring the relationship between hope and healing among people who have lost family members to pancreatic cancer. If you would like to read the paper, please contact me and I will gladly send it to you. The video is also a tribute to my wonderful grandmother who died of this terrible disease.

  • Thanks so much for commenting. I am beyond sorry for your loss. Oddly enough on this very same day, I am out of town for a memorial service for my grandfather on my Dad's side, who died of PC a few weeks after I completed this project about my grandmother. All I can say is that reaching out to the PC community helped me heal in ways I could not on my own. I wish you solace in your grief and hope in healing. It's a long road, but only because the person lost was so amazing.

  • In 2004, my Grandma lost her battle with pancreatic cancer. She found out she had in January, and we lost her mid March. I had to watch her wither away to nothing. That is the most painful thing I've ever been through. Not being able to do anything but help everyone around me, including myself, prepare to tell her goodbye. My heart goes out to my dear, sweet grandmother, and everyone else who has ever had to watch someone they love lose the fight to PC.

  • I am really sorry for your loss. I lost someone who meant pretty much everything to me last year so I know how hard it is to deal with all this.

    God Bless you
