Lets take a look at the tax rates:

President Kennedy: Lowest bracket - 20% Higest bracket - 91%

The Commie/Socialist Muslim Upsurer: Lowest bracket - 10% Highest bracket - 39%

Typical cultist tactic; take a narrow statistic and apply it to a broad issue.

You conveniently leave out the fact that the number of people actually IN the highest bracket has risen DRAMATICALLY in the last 50 years. "Taxing the rich" is very different from the pre-cold war era. Perhaps you honestly didn't know this. Or, perhaps you do, but choose to be intellectually dishonest. Either way reciting talking points is irresponsible without doing the research.

I don't recall the Bay of Pigs or the Cuban Missile Crisis being pre-Cold War. The highest bracket at that time was $200,000, and I don't think anyone making that amount had an improvished lifestyle.

I do not know where your $200,000 figure comes from, but I'll take it at face value. When you adjust for inflation $200k in 1963 is $1,341,043.57 in 2007. That means that the tax rate was initially meant to hit a much smaller group of "super rich." Mind you, we are talking ANNUAL income amounts.

Now, like I said, what you are doing when you throw out talking points is irresponsible. Kenndy understood that people should not produce wealth, lose it through tax, and let the government spread it
