This is the 2010 annual installment. Every freight car model you see here either started as undecorated (i.e. gray or black plastic), or the original scheme was stripped off. As opposed to just dirtying up a factory painted retail freight car. In some examples, additional customizing was done, to get a normal car to match an unusual prototype. Or in the case of the gondolas, the appearance of bulged out panels.
Once repainted, the models were then weathered and decaled. Here again, not weathering in the basic sense... but hand-painting the grime, dirt, rust, and various tones. The picturesque graffiti I replicate myself based on photos I took of the real thing. I do not claim ownership of this artwork.
EPIC!!!
