I just found out about these lights, and I'm glad you had a video of them. I know you said you applied the brakes 3 times, but I'm wondering: if you continue to hold the brakes after it stops flashing, it stays lit up the whole time you hold the lever, right?

Yes, If you hold the brake beyond the 4 seconds the brake lights stay on solid.
