UNESCO-IHE's Rector, Professor Szöllösi-Nagy talks about the breakthrough of UN's legal recognition of water and sanitation as a human right, and the process it took to get there.

"The right to water and sanitation is a very important issue, particularly in the light of the fact that 80% of diseases are water-borne or water-related. 50% of the hospital beds all over the world are occupied by patients who are there because of water or sanitation, or rather the lack of appropriate sanitation."
