  • Actually we are finding in preliminary runs that the mac don has a substantially higher output. The problem is fine grasses that grow inthe bottom of our crops that the macdon has trouble with. The other drawback being that if the crop is to tall, say such as milo it wont throw it on the draper belts to get fed in. Disc heads have their plce but at the same time the power loss to drive them creates a big problem too.

  • hey there 1joblo, what happened to the quickcut? I know you told me you were doing the macdon thing but why don't you just use the disc head? Wouldn't the quickcut have more through put?
