@dawood1351 Coolang goes into the engines "water Jackets" Oil is the only thing that goes into the engine it self. The water jackets are very close to Moving parts in the engine to help cool down the location. The fuel is burnt in the cylinder and oil and water is never supposed to get in that cylinder. That is where you get a leaking head gasket from.

@xatblasterx Very ignorant of you. Real mechanics wear gloves because when busting out an engine they really do need it and every day in the shop can be dangerous to their hands. Just by doing something as simple as tightening a pulley can cut the hand. They need thier hands to make money and would hate to be discomforted by a burned hand due to coolant burning it. Wearing gloves or reading a manual does not make you less of a mechanic. it makes you a Better mechanic.

@7cakemomma5 i know it is im in a tech school for auto and m dad a mechanic and has been for over 20 years ive been with hime since i was 8 i know how toxic it is and that it absorbs through skin but come on it doesnt affect you that much

@xatblasterx coolant is extremely toxic and absorbs into your skin, you SHOULD wear gloves. Its not about getting dirty or being afraid, with all due respect. ;-)

ok come on hes wearing gloves to drain coolant you have to be kidding me im 17 and i dont use gloves its stupid whats wrong you dont wanna get your hands dirty. seriously if you dont like to get dirty or your affraid of it your not a real mechanic

Where exactly coolant go in the engine?
Does it run all around moving parts or just around where the fuel is burnt?
