Ugh, I remember my grandma literally dragging me into this ride (I wasn't six, but around eleven or twelve; embarrassing, I know). She loved this ride while I absolutely hated it. Ah, the scars of childhood...

99% don't know the esoteric meaning of the Butterfly in Bird cage , checkerboard pattern or one Eye .... look it up . You're being brain washed when you don't even know it ...

Ugh i hate this ride. Not only is it annoying as hell, but its also sooo stupid!!! I never visit this area of epcot and im a Huge epcot fan!!!!

@96gamerdude Really they took it out because of three main factors:

1. Kodak and WDW are cheap bastards.

2. The ride was getting costly to maintain.

3. The ride never actually worked properly, the cars never synched perfectly, some of the speed ramps never worked, etc. (but by 1998 they could have probably fixed it instead of taking an axe to it)).

This goes directly to anyone working with or for Walt Disney Imagineering(WED). This is constructive criticism, I don't understand why you got rid of the original version of the Journey into Imagination. I'm sure you had your reasons but, the original attraction was one of the most original, and creative rides I have ever seen in my life.  So it baffles me that you guys basically gutted the whole place, then added Figment again two years later. And the current incarnation is still one the wo
