This Is Some amazing footage of the giant south swell at Corona Del Mar. I have not seen anything like it in my life! I was across from The Wedge and I saw the peaks of the waves above the jetty! 25 foot surf there! Sadly, someone was killed over there :( . The waves were still good on my side ( about 10 - 12 feet ). The beach by the boardwalk - jetty thingy got flooded the night before this. The average wave in that harbor broke and went over that little side jetty! It was fun, but Dangerous.

  • @Stratty362 The place that is labeled "Little Corona" in this video is most definitely Pirates Cove.

  • Hahahaha, it's so funny because this is where all the 909ers go and they're probably never gunna bring their kids back haha! Good riddens!

  • ahahah i see my house!!!!!

and i rmbr scuba diving when this all was going on.

by the way its not little corona.... this beach is Corona del Mar..... little corona is on the east side of this beach.....

  • shouldve went across to the wedge and film the boarders

  • and just over that wall, Wedge was pumping up to 30 feet. greatest day last summer...

  • can you imagine what it was like back in the twenties before they built the outer breakwall?

  • Thats my favorite beach in California i love the tide pools that you have to rock climb to get there

  • Yeah the corona del mar waves are wierd they all come at once in like one huge wave and dont travel anlong the coast.. Its weird. Not like HB it goes like a dominos it flows down the coast instead of one hige wave.

  • @bikeboy996 yea on the north side of the jettys it does like once a week or more

  • does it hardly ever get this big
