I've played it as a prelude at church many times and used to use it as an opening hymn when I was a worship team leader. Thank you for remembering this song and posting it. Guy, I honestly LOVE you. The Catholic school where I used to teach is being torn down this week, and I've been corresponding with some of my former students and this was one of the songs that we remember. The nuns taught it (using guitar acc.) and the kids just sang out so loud, so uninhibited. They shouted, "Praise God!"

that's great playing, especially with the variety of instrumental sounds made by that organ. this song makes me nostalgic for my college years. back then i was part of a group that often used this song. though i associate the song with christianity, i don't think i've ever heard it sung in a regular church service. i guess it's more for informal groups, and likely for children and young adults, not for people over the age of 25 or so.

Thanks so much for playing this! We sing this at out "Pass it on" Ceremony at my school in the church. the 8th grade passes a candle to the 7th grade signifying they are now the 8th grade, its so emotional and great :)
