EXACTLY, thats just what it looks like when funeral homes use those stupid vans. We refuse to use a van. One may say "who cares your dead". All I have to say is thats not the point. The point is Your picking up a person, a person who lived a life. A mother, a father, a Child or freind.

@BESTYSBABE It really depends on where you are. Here where I work, in Louisiana, you can be just a funeral director (here, aka an "undertaker). But, to be an embalmer as well, you have to be a licensed funeral director as well. But I know that our neighbor Texas allows both: just funeral directors, just embalmers, or both.

Not a happy sight , One of my neighbor's took his life last Sunday with a shotgun . All of us in the building knew what the sound was when he did it . Very sad to end it that way . Seeing the Macomb county medical examiner van there was unnerving and the trauma cleanup on Tuesday was the creepy part .
