Here is brief documentation that the BP "live" feed of Gulf gusher is actually a short loop that has been repeating for 8+ hours -- what are they hiding?

On the evening of May 26, 2010, from at least around 8:00 pm to at least 1:45 am May 27th, the alleged "live" feed at http://www.bp.com/liveassets/bp_internet/globalbp/globalbp_uk_english/homepag... was not actually showing "live" action, but was in a loop, playing the same few frames over and over again.

The clock ticks in real time, but the image is not new but is repeated. I took a video shot of my computer screen playing this out, explaining this as I recorded it.

I have to wonder what it is that is really taking place that they don't want people to see. This reminds me of the movies where some dastardly deed is being done while a security camera is being fed a loop from an earlier time.

There certainly has been a lot of covering up going on with this oil spill. This is taking place during the procedure that BP calls the "top kill."

You would think they would at least try to be more convincing by showing a segment of film with at least a half hour loop, rather than just a few seconds.

I'm composing a story at PESN.com to explain further.

Shortly after I finally posted a link to this story in my news, the BP live feed went off-line to a black screen. It was down by 4:00 am.

  • wow, excellent observation PESNetwork. i'd like to ask you to correct me if i'm wrong here, but this particular feed that they are currently showing doesn't even seem to be the location that was originally featured earlier on in the supposed "live" coverage. not many other folks that i actually know here are really keeping an eye on it. of course they are aware that something is happening though. so is it a different place in the fubar'd snafu than we were shown earlier?

  • @MrBuckwilliam

According to TreeHugger, the above footage shows equipment being used to try to plug the gushing oil well.

  • @MrBuckwilliam I was told yesterday that the present video feed where the "cap" is being shown isn't even under where the Deepwater Horizon was, but is a few miles away where BP had abandoned a well a few months earlier. The RAV's supposedly show the GPS coordinates of their location, which is how this was deduced.

  • FAKE,IT WAS A LOOP PEOPLE, WAKE UP

  • @PESNetwork it would be nice to know someday what actually happened or whether it was even real and not some kinf of mefia manipulation for wharever reason... it seems so unreal to even have to consiider thinking that way. man we as humans have come so far in being agle to hoodwink each other but you don't ever really consider that our leaders could be involved.

thank you for your words :)

  • Something that doesn't look right to me is I'm thinking 80,000 gal/day (or whatever the number is/was) would have the appearance of a "gusher" and this looks like a mild dribble. OK, it's more than a dribble but certainly no gusher.

  • Sorry PESNetwork, but this is some of the worst evidence I've ever seen. If you really want to prove your point, you need to capture the individual frames and compare them. And if you actually knew anything about editing video, you would know how to do that. Don't just speculate about something you think you can see.

  • yea lets make a loop of oil coming out, on and on and on. ok if it was live it would be oil coming out on an on and on. who gives a shit. either way it's still oil

  • I just looked at the current feed. 06/30/2010 at 16:13 hrs. You are dead on. Marked points on the video. Its in a 15 second loop. I've worked with video for a long time. Its no the compression of the video or frame rate.

  • Sorry, but you have no idea what you're talking about.

What you're seeing is the result of VERY lossy video compression. This type of lossyness is especially prevalent in older streaming formats like .asx, .asf, etc. which is what the bp stream is using.

"If you're not degreed and vastly experienced than I can't believe there's any credit to what you say."

Nicola Tesla did'nt have a degree, and look at what he acomplished(creation), Obama has a degree and look at what he's accomplished(destruction).

College eliteist attitude, needs to die!
