@Zayk54 where can i order a kit of this?
-
Did you follow a tutorial? Cos I wanna do this but I don't want to mess it up

I built the Stewmac kit which is quite expensive compared to other kits. They have a brush on finish that is really good. Lots of coats sanding between coats then wet sanding down to 2500 sandpaper then i polished with rotten stone. Gives a deep deep finish. Looks great.

Really helpful (and entertaining video). I was thinking of getting one of those kits. Can I ask you a question or two?
Do the bridge and the nut come with the grooves for the strings already cut? And how sturdy is the neck?
I ask cos I'm thinking of making myself a 5-string ukulele (and tuning it to banjo tuning).

do you just paint the lizard on then put the clear coats on? did the clear coats affect the lizard? did u just paint your signature on the neck??
Thanks

Hello, I did the single steps in the order of the video. So I first put a clear coat on, then sprayed the Lizard, and on top of the spraypaint another layer of clear coat. In my case the clear coat did not affect the Spraypaint in a negative Way (the same with the Decals).
My Signature on the neck is drilled in (with a rotary tool called Dremel). I just painted it afterwards for a brighter look.

Excellent slideshow!
Very clear and informative.
Nice uke, too.
I hope you'll post some uke playing soon.
May I ask what kit this is and where you got it?
And about how many hours it took to construct?
5 stars for an awesome vid!

Thanks for the comment :)
As you can see it's a Gibson Uke.
Nooo, just kidding - It's the Hosco Tenayo Kit. I bought it at a german music online shop but it might be available in Canada, too. Maybe you should try the "mahogany" kit which is a bit more expensive.
While constructing I really took the time and did many layers of Sanding/Clear Coat and the extras (Stencil,...). In total it was about four afternoons.
P.s. I'll keep practicing so maybe sometime there will be uke playing ;)
