- On my Gimp under "filters" there is no "batch" option.
- You are not pronouncing Nautilus correctly.

this should be included by default in nautilus

you could also install this package: nautilus-image-converter
its allowes you to both resize and scale images from nautilus.

thats like saying u can take a youtube video and make it DVD quality, doesnt work that way
