I totally understand all of your replies~ and have looked up 100's of Ref. to the word fool~ it STILL is not correct in any term when used to say Jesus made Himself a fool for us~

I definately knows that she means well, and enjoy her music~

This song reminds me of my heated discussions with my son. He cites verses in the Bible that support things he disagrees with and feels everyone should (slaves serve your masters as you would Christ) and rails at me, calling me simple and naive, pretty much most of the names in this song. He says the Bible was translated by men with biases and opinions and those influenced translations. He basically thinks I am a fool for believing what I do. But I'll be that kind of fool for Christ!

@debrazgalaxy yes, but when David danced before the Lord somepeople thought HE was a fool! God has made the foolish things wise and the wise foolish. If you want that reference I'll look it up. ( :

@bluelights18 I went to check the reference for what you were saying. It's 1 Corinthians 4:10, so Nichole apparently based the song on this verse (and admittedly this and some of Nichole's earlier songs had to grow on me a bit due to having some of the same concerns that debrazgalaxy felt in her comment).

@debrazgalaxy it's not wrongful use if a word has two meanings, though. I forget where, although I'm fairly certain it's somewhere in 1 Corinthians or Ephesians (but don't hold me accountable for that), Paul says that he will be a fool for Christ. That's what Nichole means as well(:

@bluelights18 Thank you, I know her context is innocent~ and what she means in regard to how non believers view us . But the fact remains, the wording is wrong when used in the context of our Lord~ The Lord trumps wrongful use in modern song (c: I do love her voice and most of her other music.
