I have my poppy.

They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old....

May the soldiers rest in peace

I cry every time I watch this clip.

this is actually the correct way to read it. i hate when people read it line by line, it conveys the wrong message.

My grade 8 teacher drilled this into our heads one November, and now I'm so thankful. Knowing it word-for-word allows me to really focus on the message. If only this were a mandatory part of school curriculum.

I don't know when it started but now there is a Star of David on Jewish graves. I know this for a fact because my husband works for a National Cemetary. Sometimes, I wander amoung the graves and randomly stop at a grave to say a prayer for the family left behind. When I do this, I leave a small rock on the tomb stone so that if any family is left that comes to visit, they can know strangers still honor the sacrifice of their loved one. In fact, all faiths are now honored on the tomb stones.

also there style of warfare wasn't that smart. so many soldiers died that way.
They shall not grow old as we who are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn,
At the going down of the sun,
And in the morning,
We Will Remember Them.

In Honor of our fallen soldiers, our heroes, our protecters....
Soldiers go to war to protect us, those who do nothing but take this for granted.
We should respect their decision to go to war and to die for us....
This is a beatiful poem :D
