Yeah, it's a family film. It was obviously made that way, but the marketing people decided that more people will watch it if they thought it was a full on action film (which it isn't).

You won't find moves like these in wushu competitions cause the chance of failure is so high. They would have done take over take to make that final move work...one of Jackie Chan's early traits.
