Late blight can be a devastating disease of tomatoes and potatoes. It's been found in PA and KY so far, so Ohio is probably next. Last year it made the news, as it hit the state hard and affected a lot of farmers and home gardeners. This piece should emphasize the need to be prepared for the arrival of this disease, know the symptoms, monitor plants, apply fungicides if needed/desired, and appropriately get rid on infected plant material.
