The Dark Knight (Batman: Animated Series Theme)

Well, because I'm so hyped for The Dark Knight, I wanted to do something with it - but I also didn't want it to be something that a ton of people had already done, for obvious reasons. After watching several episodes of the superb Batman: The Animated Series around YouTube, I thought to myself, "Hmm, wouldn't it be cool if I took footage from the animated series and edited it to fit the TDK trailer?" Of course, a simple YouTube search revealed that this had already been done about twenty times before, so I quickly scrapped that idea.

Then the idea came to me: "Well, what if I do it the other way around? Use the audio from the opening of the show and use footage from The Dark Knight?" This struck me as a far more original - and far easier - idea (although, as it turns out, user GrandJediMaster7860 did essentially the same thing, though thankfully not EXACTLY the same), so I got ahold of the animated theme and the first three trailers for The Dark Knight, worked around with them for a few hours, and the end result is this!

I wouldn't exactly call it a fan-made trailer (hence why I didn't put that in the title), though I guess you easily could; I see it more like a music video that just happens to have the title and company logos of the movie. But eh, call it whatever you want, it doesn't make a big difference. So, I hope you enjoy.

I do not own any aspect of The Dark Knight or Batman: The Animated Series. The footage belongs to Warner Bros./Legendary Pictures/DC Comics/whoever you want to credit it to, and the audio was composed by Shirley Walker.

@84REDHEd I wish I could have. However, this video was made before the movie actually came out, meaning that I only had footage from The Dark Knight's three trailers to work with, none of which featured either of those characters.

Although I don't think theme for TDK was that bad I would have to agree that this a whole lot better. But then again this score, which i believe is actually the Danny Elfman score from the original movie, will forever be THE batman theme.

I had this idea for what should have happened in The Dark Knight. Batman gets to the top level where Joker is, he is jumped by a few goons and while he fights them Joker is in the background playing the 60s/70s theme of Batman. Once Batman is done with the goons Joker turns around and goes 'Do you like that? I came up with it just for you.' At which point Batman slams the piano lid down on Joker's fingers thus beginninjg the fight. A nice nod to the series and the fans. What you think?
