Edward Elric and the Fullmetal Prince - Trailer 3 - Otakon 2009 AMV Winner

The third and last of my Harry Potter/FMA crossover trailers! This one made it to the AMV finals at Otakon 2009! It uses audio from Trailer 4a from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and video from Fullmetal Alchemist - the original TV series, the Conqueror of Shamballa movie, and the new FMA: Brotherhood TV series.

Otakon 2009 coincided with the opening weekend of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which led me to the idea of doing an anime crossover with Harry Potter.

UPDATE 19-July-2009: This trailer won 1st place at Otakon 2009 in the Trailer/Parody category!

UPDATE 23-Nov-2009: Aniplex filed a DMCA claim against this video, which is ridiculous considering it is a parody and satire. Fortunately, the copyright claim counter-notice went through successfully and the video is back online! Too bad it was down for over a month and a half...

UPDATE 11-Sep-2010: Video is back online AGAIN after Sony Music Japan (parent company of Aniplex) filed another bogus DMCA claim on this video. It's disgraceful. Youtube reinstated the video after a month, which is also ridiculous, considering it should not have been taken down a second time by the same company to BEGIN with. Anyway. It's back again now, so please enjoy.

@artsygreendayfan The video is from the FMA DVDs which can be purchased just about anywhere online. Some of the video is from the FMA Brotherhood TV series which was available on Funimation's site or at various fansubber sites. The audio is taken directly from the Harry Potter trailers from their website. Any proper video editing program can separate audio and video streams from sources so you can remix them.

how long did it take u to make this? was it hard to make this? did u know it was going to be an AMV Winner? did only u make the vid or did u have help?

sorry about all the quetions u dont need tu answer all of them just helps with the ranking of AMV'S on my list ;) ur at the top with pictuer and sound and use of cast dont worry that means ur just about to rank out all..........( on my list of AMV'S ) i only need some answers tu the quetions plzzzz... u dont have to :)
