How it looks from the cab of a train when passing by, westbound leaving Fort Mad. Note the Amtrak engineer has inadvertantly left the red marker lights illuminated on the front.

  • I'm sure that bump only looks that pronounced because the camera was zoomed in that far. At a regular angle you probably wouldn't have even noticed it.

  • I'm thinking what those other guys are.....nasty hole in the road at the crossing.

  • @goodeye03 I was just thinking that that's quite a bump.

  • That's a drink spilling dip at that crossing!

  • Is this spot before or after the old ATSF line ducks under the old CB&Q? I love Ft. Madison - it's a pretty town, great for train watching and antique stores (-:

  • haha.. never seen a bump like this before... Lol

  • What a bounce! Neat to see. Likely not a bad jolt for the passengers as the Superliners have a decent, shock absorbing suspension (better than the AmCans!). Still, the Heritage Cars from Pullman Standard and Budd were sweet riding cars.

  • Highball the roll-by Amtrak

  • look at that bump at 0:25

  • that Amtrak sure had a nice bounce to it. great video add more when u get the chance.
