UKIP Leader Nigel Farage is invited by the KASPER students' union to speak at the University of Ghent in Flanders, Belgium, where EU Council president Herman van Rompuy and EU Commission president Jose Manuel Barroso were recently awarded honorary doctorates.

  • @KarasekUS Cheers mate :)

  • @EllinonEnosis 'This project was set up by a man called Jean Monnet'

    'Nigel is referring to the name of the original Architect/founder of the EU (The then European Coal and Steel community). As the head of France's General Planning Commission, Monnet was the real author of what has become known as the 1950 Schuman Plan to create the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC), forerunner of the Common Market. His aim that these were just building blocks for a European Superstate.' - from ukipmedia

  • @KarasekUS

    a man called john morley (that is what i think he says)

  • What is he saying at 38:30 - 38:33? "this project was set up by ...." ?

    Why would India or China sign Kyoto, when companies are moving there , just because they can have their polluting industry there ?

    Many people there are poor , and so will welcome a job , even if it's polluting the environment.

    It would be much better to pay out this money , to industries who stay and become more green industry.

  • @kdemetter so the EU is definitely a beacon of what we should aspire in the future; but I do think India and China were more pragmatical; the whole world should sign the kYOTO treaty and any kind of green treaty all at once; all or nothing;
