The Well-Balanced Pianist http://www.WellBalancedPianist.com faculty Susan Nowicki (primo) and Teresa Dybvig (basso) play Sergei Rachmaninoff's "Italian Polka" for encore at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Lakewood, Colorado on February 8, 2009. The concert inaugurated both the church's new piano, a generous gift from Norman Chichester in memory of his wife Susan, and their new concert series, run by Music Director Allison Olsson, designed to nurture the community with music.
Thanks, I'm glad you like it!
A fine piece of music can support different interpretations. If you learn one interpretation by making conscious choices about how to bring the piece to life, you can choose to play it differently later if you want.
Enjoy the journey! This is one of my favorite duets.
