i know this video is somewhat old, but i was feeling the same way today and wanted to find videos that touched on this subject. i joined in '06, so i remember the people you mentioned! i even remember when celebs joining youtube was protested against. you know why these new guys dont comment? because they are interested in making it big, and are promoting themselves to the mass media, not the humble youtube community. i guess all good things come to an end at sometime.

Hey man , I thin you're really touching on a point here! I joined in early - mid 2008 and even back then there was a community spirit in my opinion, now...everyone seems to be out of touch from one another. It's sad and Youtube should be back the way it was!
