The idea of rumba is not to make FAKE choreographies like ballroom dance, it is about the rhythm and feeling and in this case which is Guaguanco-rumba, it is a game between man and a woman. And it is folkloric dance. But hey, this is only a matter of an opinion.

Normal shines? Cuban salsa is better?? Clearly, you are missing the point of Cuban dance. Although rumba is one of salsa's ancestors, they are very different in the way that the dancers interact.Rumba is seduction and sex on the dance floor, the most explicit and graphic of all the Cuban dances. It is a more profound reflection of the AfroCuban spirit. And it takes much much longer to learn and requires much more skill.

Even though this conversation doesn't make any sence, I'd still want to clear up that FAKE is not curse word and it means something not authentic. And I never said that ballroom choreographies are f*cked up, I said that somebody MESSED UP when they accidentally named the ballroom rumba, because it has got nothing to do with real rumba. But guess that vadimbudapest's english is as bad as his taste ;)

dude, that's the point, we are not in the history class. and I suppose you have very short memory, calling ballroom dancing FAKE, and its choreography "F*CKED UP". and saying now "not cursing at ballroom dancing." You definitely have a right to express your ideas, and produce those as much as you want :-) enjoy it in your life. Suppose to say, have a nice time!

First of all I am not mad and I am not cursing at ballroom dancing. I have a right to adore whatever I want and express my opinions as well as yourself or anybody. I can now see that you don't have the slightest idea of the history of dance nor any other perspective than your own and I have no longer any interest to keep on discussing this matter with you. But you should ask any latin ballroom dance teacher about the roots of the dances like chachacha, samba or rumba

you are right I am definitely a fan. but why do you think that being first, which I doubt even, is same as to be the best? I mean how can you be sure in the superspecial quality and arbitrarily claim it is the best ever.

I guessed you were a ballroom dance fan which is one the most superficial and trivial dances I have ever seen, it has no real roots and everything is copied and faked. Even the names of the dances, and when somebody named the ballroom rumba they really fucked it up, because it has absolutely nothing to do with the real RUMBA that comes hundreds years back and provedly was the first dance called rumba.
