  • @therealnews why is it that Greenland was greener 1000 years than now? Don't get me wrong fossils fuels cause lots of evironmental problem and we need to move away from them. It seems obvious to me that Earth climate vary and are not static. The Saharah desert was an ocean 10000 years ago. Climate change happens.

  • @deeptruthhunter Are you referring to his water utility bill for the ranch? Your evidence that the sun is getting hotter, if you please...not that I don't consider it beyond the bounds of possibility, but a claim like that requires substantiation. Oh, and don't forget to include your evidence that the "Moons of Europa" are melting...which ought to be fun, since Europa IS a moon...of Jupiter... o_O

  • @TheMercilessEye I figured as much...

  • @leptonsoup337 Phlegmish Dreams has pretty much revealed himself to be a pompous ass, Lepton. You should go ahead and ask the polar oceanographer anyway - and mention Phlegmishdreams, by all means.

  • @flemishdreams ""I don't totally disagree," says Wagner. "Yes, obviously, Remote Sensing did not have a strong climate board. On the other hand, you can't reject all interdisciplinary research out of hand. Spencer and Braswell used satellite data sets and checked them against models; that's what we [remote sensing researchers] do all the time."

    End of article.

  • @flemishdreams "Others say the real problem stems from a fundamental mismatch between the journal and the paper in question. The journal "really deals with remote sensing used by geographers rather than by atmospheric scientists," says Trenberth. "I only recognized one name on the editorial board." That could explain why none of the three reviewers noticed any fatal flaws in the paper, he says." (cont'd)...

  • @flemishdreams "Wagner says he's not leaving because of any mistakes by those beneath him nor because of any pressure from above. (The journal and about 60 others are published by MDPI of Basel, Switzerland.) "Reviewing is difficult," he says. "It's not bullet-proof. I just wanted to make the statement" that the journal holds the reviewing process in the highest regard. No word on whether the paper will be retracted." (cont'd)...
