  • there really isn't that much difference in voltage between the cells ...

    this is a normal phenomenon that occurs , a slight difference in the capacity of a cell ,a small temperature difference on 1 cell ,something as simple as a minute difference in the production process of the cells , thats all it takes to get this anomaly

    it could be that after balancing ,all the cells will have the same voltage but then there could be one cell with a slightly higher capacity which is then not fully charged

  • however what I sometimes find is that the cells may discharge to different low voltages but when you charge them they tend to all line up in unison a 3.6v

    i found this when charging packs on my cellpro 4s that it would indicate that cells are out of balance but before it starts ballancing at the end of the charge there all back aligned.
