This is a relatively new replacement for the old washer and dryer that was here. This machine sits below, then above it, I have the LG steamdryer, Model DLEX2501W. These two machines stack together magnificently with the standard LG mounting kit, so you get the effect of three machines in the space of two. The contents of this washer in this clip is stuffed with 6 king sized pillowcases, and three layers of king-sized sheets plus 2 king-sized shams. It's not always practical to wait for a full wash and dry in one machine because depending on contents, it can take longer. That's why I added the standard 220v dryer atop for very bulky stuff like king sized goose down comforters. In this case, I was running out the door today and wanted this all done in one pop when I get home later tonight. For lighter loads of clothes, its usually about 2 hours for both wash and dry. So how does it work without a vent? There is a genius cold water heat exchange inside the washer and two inner tubs, yet this is a super-capacity machine. A standard plug is all that's needed, (no 220v). In the dry mode, a heater comes inside and circulates hot air and begins to heat the inside until the contents' moisture turns to vapor. In short, the contents "sweat" until they are dry. In order to remove this vapor, about 1-2 gallons of cold water spritz around the outer drum in spurts, creating condensation on the outer drum, which drips around the outer drum then is pumped out from the bottom of the machine in the sump pump. Very little heat is actually expelled from this machine, except the upper right corner. Cons: This machine cannot be used strictly as a dryer. It will go right into dry mode after it has one rinse spin. I made part 2 which shows a bit more due to overwhelming interest! Its at http://youtu.be/J7jNEk0NRqo. Please leave me a message on here if you want to see some other cool home appliances and machines. I like the machines to be multifunctional. lol, you should see my oven/range. The cavity of the oven doubles as a blast chiller :)
Hi, I just checked my machine and don't see any orange clips. Perhaps the clips were for shipping? Mine is up on the 2nd floor, and the delivery guys set it all up and took all of the boxes and shipping containers when they left.

Hi Guys, This little video clip took on a life of its own and got thousands of hits. I was a bit surprised, but thanks for stopping by. I made another video as a result of so many questions, I put a link of it in the description above.

@lakewebsterkid, yes there is a lint catcher per se, but it's never had anything in it. There is a small opening about the size of a soda can that comes out to reveal a basket like part. This machine also has a "tub clean" function that is literally a feature to clean the three inner drums. Just add bleach to the bleach compartment, and press tub clean. At first it sounded stupid to clean a washing machine, but then when I saw how the cycle ran, understood why. It spins in such a way to hold

@ angeldooley, I've always liked cool appliances around the house an try to make sure each appliance can do more than one thing. For instance this washer drys the clothes, the dryer steams them, the whirlpool oven in the kitchen called the "Polara" (now discontinued), can be used as a refrigerator or blast chiller, yes the oven turns to a 42 degree frig instantly. My blender cooks, and the living room converts to a theater with one button. It's taken years to find all these cool things but they

@ IamFreeRU . Yep it really does dry the clothes without a vent. It literally has in internal heater that heats the air and makes the contents get so hot they steam. You'll hear a burst of water sound during the dry cycle. That is cold water which condenses the steam internally so it can then be pumped out. Very ingenious!
