Ringneck Pheasants are not a native game bird in North America. They were introduced by Europeans who got them from Asia. Ruffed Grouse (Partridge) are native....esp. in Wellsville NY

To many predators and birds of prey for them to be established for long. Need to kill some birds of prey like hawks and owls for starters. They will wipe out the future of small game hunting . Why?Because they are not kept in check and are protected. Need to start a petition to start harvesting them. We all know what happens when predators get over populated as they are starting to, Small animals and game birds become extinct.

This is a great program. I remember my grandfather, back in the 20's hunting pheasant. It's good that the birds are being put back into the area.
