  • I was at his last show in east troy wis.he was my favorite act in the 80's.I couldnt believe a guy would come out in the 80's and play the blues like he did. a time when madonna, micheal jackson and cindy lauper ruled the radio and video.srv burst on the scene with blues rock.best thing is.the public loved it.he was great.its too bad the helicopter pilot made the decision to fly on such a foggy night.heck it was so foggy I had to drive 20 mph on the way home.heard the bad news the next day

  • Rare indeed.

    Im blown away.

  • @vizeck Jimi hendrix just wanted to jam with stevie

  • @smithdsmit i don't mean to impose, but have you read the little bit about in Eric Claptons' autobiography? EC said he felt uneasy watching his pilot clear the windshield with a teeshirt, but he said he could see the stars above him before take off , but still reckoned it was dodgy for flying.

  • I think I was at this show, did he open for the Police?

  • This is insane, i just read about the Article about Stevie Ray in an issue of Guitar World magazine...I stopped reading after the hawaii show bit, with him wearing a blue kimono... looked up cold shot live on youtube, and clicked on this by chance... oh yeah, the song is awesome btw. SRV turned me on to playing the Blues

  • That solo was incredible.

  • he was pretty cool.

  • He gets off the drugs, finds God and a few months later dies. I guess the Lord called another 6 stringer back home!!!!

  • wow, you are 1 of so few who could say i saw him on his last show, i would have paid anything to see that, even though i was not really that big of a blues fan in those days, (My father was) i would hear him and hendrix out of my dads stereo constatnly
