  • I want to make my own USB cable for wouxun KG-UVD1 P and i need the pin-out diagrams so that i can connect it to my transceiver. Can you help me on the pin configuration.

  • Thanks for the GREAT video! Just got a KG-UV3D and your video sure made it a snap to program the radio.

  • @ENC016 I read that you have to use a "-" dash or minus sign... but i have not had luck figuring it out. let me know if it works for you.

  • can anyone tell me how to put a space in the channel name? i read it somewhere but forgot where it was or how too.

  • When I look up my arrl repeator directory it would say repeater freq 146.8650 ,repeater input - negative, ctcss 146.2. My question is on the wouxun software. the rx freq, the tx freq, the decode and encode. Where does the arrl info get placed within the wouxun. The ctcss is the encode or decode and is the repeator freq of 146.8650 the rx frq?

  • @ytTaz480 Actually, you might have had to do that com port stuff with the very first software but any newer or updated software you get now, you won't have to deal with all that.I've used 3 different versions of the software and never had to deal with the com port. It takes care of everything on it's own.

  • You don't need to go theouh all the extra headache in the control panel and device manager to figure out the com port unless you have major problems or a "read/write failure" and even then, check everything else first, plug seated all the way, etc. But, 99.99% of the time, you will not have a problem. Windows picks the com port as soon as it sees the USB cable and the

Wouxun("oh-sheng") programming software finds the correct com port as soon as you start the software. But good to know still.

  • Great vid! Just a comment on connection failed message. I had a terrible time with those failure messages and finally determined it to be the radio end of the cable. A little rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball cleaned it right up. Hasn't missed since.

  • @ClaytonCowboy i've got this one too, I don't know how to figure it out
