(Press L+R on the menu to get 493 Heart Scales. Discard enough to get the number of Heart Scales to match the number of the pokemon you want. Press R+A on the trainer card to make shiny. Hold L and go into grass.)

Now, get rid of everything in your bag. That's right. EVERYTHING. Only in the items pocket. Hold L, go into the grass, and you should see -----. If it doesn't work, try again.

EDIT: Missingno is treated as an empty pokemon slot. You cannot battle with it, unless there are certain conditions, and certain things are done.

EDIT: I DON'T FREAKING CARE IF IT IS THE INVISIBLE SHINY BULBASAUR. As far as I know, that's not an official name. I call it D/P Missingno, so stop giving me crap.

@FreddyYNF why does everyone think that missingno. screws up people's games? it was somthing that the developers had in mind for quite a while they just never got around to putting in the games. basically Missingno. is the left over coding from the pokemon that could have been but probably never will be
