Lion Dance practice with Ryan Au at San Francisco Wushu on November 28, 2009.

I haven't practiced with the lion head and body in months! Everything is different when you're under the head because you can't use your arms as much to jump. That, and this was just after Thanksgiving so we're also lifting up a bunch of turkey when we try to stack. :P

Need a lot of work on the lion gestures and movements! Enjoy the atrocity! :D

  • @itendstonightviet Yep, just like it looks like.

  • @itendstonightviet I don't remember, I think it was like 1 minute.

  • @DinksOfAntic Sure, you could think of it that way, but hardly any of the dance stances are technical like wushu/kung fu stances. Partly because we try to transition from one to another in an unorthodox way in an attempt to make the whole lion movement look more animal like.

  • NICE JOB CHECK OUT MY LION DANCE

  • When you lion dance do you do a lot of stances? like do you keep changing the stance? :T

  • lol
