I use wide angle lenses for scenery and indoor photography. I'm going to tell using wide angle lenses for macro, at this post.

Requirements:

DSLR camera
Wide angle lens
Reverse mount adapter ring
Rubber band
Tripod
Firstly, you need an adapter. Reverse mount adapter ring has many different sizes. The important point is filter size of your lens. Filter size writes on the lens cap.

You can attach your lens as reversed, after attaching the adapter ring.

Aperture is at the biggest value when you attach your lens as reversed. So, very little light comes to sensor. In short, you must use a tripod at daylight. Also you must open diaphragm blades manually. You can use a rubber band for this.

You can zoom and focus when the using reversed lens. Zooming decreases the reproduction ratio. You can use the focus ring.

You can adjust exposure according to the light. Aperture value doesnt set. Only, you can select shutter speed.

Note:

I used a wide angle zoom lens. Also, I used an adapter hasn't aperture adjustment.
You can use a standard lens.
Some cameras measures light when the using reversed lens.
Some cameras have a Depth of Field preview button. This makes easy controlling aperture.
