Carolyn Scott & Golden Rookie: A 15 Year Partnership

This special montage is a tribute to the most unique 15 year partnership of Carolyn Scott and her beloved Golden Retriever, Rookie. Arguably, the most famous canine freestyle team in the world, Carolyn and Rookie's love for one another has been cheering millions through the many clips that have circulated over YouTube since Dave Mintzer originally digitalized the famous routine from a videotape Carolyn had provided us several years ago. Little did we know that our posting of that video would bring so much joy to so many, actually even bringing soldiers in Iraq to tears.

The film celebrates the human-canine bond and how it was critical in their overcoming adversity, given Carolyn's polio and more.

It is being produced for fundraising purposes by the Land of PureGold Foundation (http://landofpuregold.com), a 501c3 nonprofit providing cancer treatment grants for working dogs and funding research in comparative oncology, the study of cancers that occur similarly in people and companion animals.

Maybe I knew... the first time a I saw a video of Carolyn and Rookie doing this number a couple of months ago it brought tears to my eyes. And I didn't know he'd died last summer. You gave him a great life, Carolyn. He obviously loved every moment of the life he had with you.

Our heavenly Father created the golden retriever to prove how much he loves us.  I never met you Rooke but I love you and hope to meet you at the bridge someday when I reunite with my own golden retriever Samantha.

I'm so sad that I didn't get to see Rookie alive. He and Carolyn make such a good team. I just saw the "Grease" video today and was excited by it. I saw one of the other tribute videos, and I was just sad. I'm not a crier, when I see sad things, but this made me want to cry, though I couldn't. Rest in peace, Rookie, and Carolyn, I hope you are feeling fine. If I ever meet you, Carolyn, I will be so excited. This tribute was amazing!!!!!! Go ROOKIE + CAROLYN.

Aww, that made me cry, what a beautiful beautiful creature Rookie was! I know how heartbreaking it is to lose a beloved pet, including a wonderful golden girl named Jazzy . Our prayers and sympathy are with Carolyn, and I don't care what anyone says, I KNOW our pets are in Heaven waiting for us. What joy it was to watch this while drinking my coffee this morning. It brought tears to my eyes to read he passed... I believe God will have him waiting for you when you get there and I am sure he is dancing with the angles! I am sure there is a big hole in your heart ... may your sadness be filled with days of remembering how much joy he gave others.
