But hey we got great veg sandwiches & Philly too.

Ced was a cool approachable dude. I saw him one day at the Barber Shop on 167th& Prospect and Ced had the same Black& Gold Shirt on from the Critical Beatdown Album Cover. I read where Kool Keith said Ced jerked him on some money by releasing a cd and keeping all the proceeds. Keith said Ced was on them wulers(Crack & weed) real hard back then. Shyt back in the day all of your favorite rappers poofed wulers, Beatsie Boys, & Wu, Tang even mentioned it in their songs.

we got to get back to these roots... hearing him talk about how him and Paul C put they beats together just takes me back.. of course I wasnt around then being born in '87 but still.. we have to get back to that foundation

Saw Ultra at Dingwalls, Camden London. That show was so dope as Ced said, they couldn't even hear themselves! One of the best, ifnot, hip hop concerts I have been to.
Also Critical Beatdown rangs among the top 5 of all time hip-hop LP's. Ced's beats were way ahead and still knock the socks off today's music.

Critical Beatdown & Criminal Minded are two of the best albums ever - I must have listened to them thousands of times each - it proves how important he is that Ced Gee played a part in both (apparently a bigger part on KRS One's tape than is generally known) - it's too sad about Paul C & Scott LaRock: how much sublime influence & music the world now lacks because of their too-early passing.
i was 16 back in 88 and ultramagnetic m.cs critical beatdown is too dope to explain.Growing up in england this was all i listened to on pirate radio constantly. so great that the internet can give me an insight into these talented individuals who produced amazing hip hop. thankyou!peace...
