This is an example of too much money, no regard for historic buildings and big failed ideas. This historic English mansion built in 1925 had only a few owners. It was remodeled inside in the late 1990.s., and was again sold around 2004. The new owners decided it was too small and wanted to tear it down and build a much larger mansion . They paid two million for it , and had the entire interior gutted and destroyed in preparation for the demolition They started taking off the slate roof and stacking it up. The roof was partially removed and the house had water coming in for years. The economy wiped out the new owners money , their big ideas , and the house was left in ruins. So much for having more money than you know what to do with, or maybe now use to have. It was in an upscale area, but one would think they could have found a nice lot somewhere else for less than 2.million dollars, and that is just what it ended up being, as the bank put the house up for auction as is, and it failed to bring their minimum of 900.000 so the bank had the house demolished thinking a vacant lot would sell better another big mistake it's still a vacant lot.
