Bravo! This is amazing. You have some awesome talent. And nerves too! (As an unartistic type, I can't imagine painting over the focus of a painting like you did - and so many times too!)

Love it!!! How long did it actually take to do the painting? The video is only 3 1/2 minutes. I was just curious. Thanks, Duane. Love your work, all of it!

This was wonderful, Duane. It is also interesting as a metaphor for "where you began" in your painting, the journey that ensued, and the current "result" of that journey. Your ability to "texture" the paint in interesting ways via your brushwork is also amazing. Thank you so much for sharing this. Would you mind sharing the type of brush that you are using and your thought process in making that choice? Your marks and "shapes" are very organic despite the flatness of the brush!!!!

@sltwitness Thank you.
I generally use Robert Simmons Titanium line of brushes. They are synthetic (or a mix?.) They are soft but firm and they hold their shape well. They can also take a beating before they start to fray. I use to use only rounds but now I probably use flats half the time. I use the flats to cut across forms and control edges.
