Chevy 350 smallblock in 89 supra

Stock 350 with a 700R4 trans. It has shorty headers with 2 1/4 exhaust all the way back to a 2 in 2 out chambered muffler.

@jazzynroy wasn't much modding required to fit just have to come up with a way to mount the motor. I built a front plate out of 1/4 steel plate and bolted it to the frame horns up front. Use block huger headers, and i still can clear a full size oil filter. And i don't have a step by step

actually the motor is newer than the car and puts down more power and the strips are silver

HOW DID YOU GET THE HEADER TO CLEAR THE STEERING ARM ON THE DRIVERS SIDE?!?! Thats where im stuck at on mine. I Bought Pace Setter Shorty headers.

i didn't have a problem with the shorty headers i put on. its just real tight, i bolted them on when i was centering up the engine between the frame rails.

@crazyirishdan a built 7m can reach over 1000hp and as far as gas mileage i can put $20 in my tank and drive around for a week. no way in hell can you do that with a tired 350 try maybe 50-100. how do i know? i have owned, worked on/ maintained them motors since i was 12. at our old junk yard we had so many sbc's. price per hp may be better only because you can go down to your local scrap yard and find a motor for abou 100 bucks. look up some history on the M been around since the 60s

@bandit2290 Takes a Toyota fanboy to talk up a motor that's got a whole 450hp as far as actual potential vs the SBC which can easily put out over 500NA and up to a 1000 boosted. Your motor sucks, that's why it was made for like four years vs. the decades the SBC has been in production. No one cares AT ALL about keeping your Jap car all Jap. Hp per dollar you LOSE every time. Also with overdrive that car will run 20mpg or better highway, the Supra is no gas sipper especially driven hard.

@loldecepticonlol takes a chevy fanboy to pull something this gay out of ther ass. oh and your worthless 350 i got alot of choice words. i will try and keep it simple. 7m makes 232hp 400hp capable with stock block. stock 350 can make anywhere from 115-300 depending on when it was made. this is probably an old tired ass motor like most of them are. i own a 7m supra this is the last thing i would think about doing but i like good gas mileage, alot of hp and not wasting time but hey thats just me.

@partyguy9 on one hand i see your point. have you ever heard a mkIII supra run? they sound like a vacuum. dont get me wrong, i have a supra and love it. I just dont understand all these haters who probably cant build a lego car and want to talk shit on someone with some initiative. putting an american v-8 in any jap car is cool. its just different. It made you stop and watch the vid did it not? not alot of people have the money to built imports either. GO FAST OR GO HOME!!!!
