Normal verse chords of this song go in the order of Cmaj7, Em, Bm; CMaj7, G, D.
During the pre-chorus it reverses to CMaj7, G, D; CMaj7, Em, Bm.
The chorus is always G, Bm, Em, C, G (repeated once) and changed when Colin enters into the portion of the chorus where he says "bones", which is just F followed by E. It's actually really simple, I've been playing it for years.

@MetalBassist73 No, the chorus is G to a Bm to an Em and a C, twice for the first chorus, four times for the second. After that is an F to an E.

yea those are correct chords. for the " i am a writer writer of fiction" it starts with a G then to a D then to C for 2 bars. then its repeat. and for "BOoooooones" My Booooones" its a Bm then an E.
