One of my favorite things about living in San Francisco is being able to experience the bounty Northern California. I live 3 miles east from the Pacific Ocean and 30 miles south of wine country. I am in the proverbial "crosshairs" of the goodness.
Dungeness Crab season is at it's peak and you have to know the wine is always flowing...so why not have a party celebrating the two? Brilliant, ya?! I was lucky enough to partake in such a shindig last weekend. It was not only a party, it was a benefit for the Walnut Creek Education Foundation. Chow down, drink up and help the kiddies. The more you drink the more you help. Now that is the kind of community service I can get behind!

The party was held at 1515 Restaurant in lovely Walnut Creek and this is a little piece I cut for those you missed it. See you there next year?!
