Depends were you live. Huskies generally need a cold climate. They are normally not protective for anything else than their bone, lol. As for energy they got more than enough. Personally, I have 6 siberian huskies all approx 1 year old and must admit that there is sometimes a bit to much energy. However, I love having them all around. With regard to german shepherds i guess you would get most of the above qualities perhaps slightly less energy, but probably the protective part.....

About the howling, Is that like a routine for them?like after meal or special occasions Happens.or they just howl anytime they like ? Cause I'm worried if my husky was left along while I'm working and his howling could bring me complaints from neighbors. That would be bad cause I can not stop him
