2009 was a year of many firsts. Drake was the first artist to receive a grammy nomination with only a mixtape out. Beyonce stage dived for the first time. Kanye was the first rapper to get a Nike shoe - the air yeezys. Snoop Dogg was the first rapper to smoke weed during a live ustream webcast, but no one had more firsts than jay-z:
Hov was the first Rapper to appear on Oprahs show
the first rapper to perform at the World Series
Finally topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart with a song featured on his album
His Previous #1 singles were features on other peoples songs Heartbreaker with Mariah Carey, Umbrella with Rihanna and Crazy In Love with Beyonce.
and he passed Elvis as the solo act with the most # 1 albums in Billboards history
