@sayanroy36 Or the biggest guy in WWE. They were so many other talented guys in the NBA when Magic Johnson was playing. Does it make it his fault or the NBA's that those players never got pushed or became something. Is it Mr. McMahon's fault that Captain America (Hogan) came off a huge run in AWA and people looked to him as the poster boy he'd been a moron like Gagne if he didn't make him the WWE Champion and have him hold it four years.

@sayanroy36 First of all, like many other smarks, you point out the obvious. Good for you. And yes there's racism, sexism, all over the place which is why I don't mention it because it's like pointing out strawberries have a mixture of green and red. And you pointed out it was the 1980's Hogan and Flair weren't moronic enough to get hurt because they just been given the ball and they were going to run with it. I don't blame them and hey Dog didn't become a star.

@Sweetguy9009 oh yes, on the contrary i know that. cause there's been plenty of precedents which anybody with eyes can see.
i never said selling tickets in sports entertainment was simple.
but not pushing even a popular black superstar in professional wrestling specially in the 80s, doesn't take a genius to figure that out....or are you one of those '"the president's black,so the world is free of racism" kinda guys?
-
@sayanroy36 You don't know that and knowing what fans want, booking, and or making cash and selling tickets in sports entertainment is far from simple. If it was every person with a virtual or physical keyboard would be a promoter.
-
even if hogan got injured, in the 80s mcmahon would have made the brooklyn brawler no sooner than a black performer. plain and simple.

my dad's favorite wrestler

I have always believed that if Hollywood Hogan ever got injured during his big run from 1984-1987 (which was his big run before Randy Savage really was moved up to main events in WWE.) JYD would have taken his spot. Nobody really talks about JYD matches, but his charisma is unforgettable.
