Japanese (black) Guncon 2 overview & how to tell if yours is real or fake

The Japanese Guncon 2 came in yesterday. I was certain it would be a knockoff but after opening the gun to check it was obvious that this is an official model. Yay!

The Guncon 2 released in Japan is black with light gray buttons. Decades of strict gun laws in Japan have ensured that almost no one is able to own a gun. Selling "toy" guns in realistic colors isn't such a big deal in a country where the possibility of a child handling a REAL firearm on a playground is next to nothing.

Please no hate mail on gun laws in the 'States. I have a very complicated opinion on the matter and rest firmly in the middle of that topic.

While I had the gun open I decided to point out the Namco labeling to help anyone concerned with purchasing a "fake" Guncon 2.

Is Japanese GunCon 2 compatible with American PS2 Console? Because i have a Japanse GunCon 1 and im trying to get a PS1 to play classic Time Crisis 1.
