My husband was in the persian gulf when my second son was born. He didnt see him till he was 6 months old. He is now 17 and he is fine. A straight A student and has a great relationship with his father. So I dont think him being gone had that much of an impact on him. In fact the day my DH came home son went straight to him and this child would not go to anyone but me. He knew his Daddy even though he never met him his first 6 months.

KMA Sweetie is right. If you do research into child development, babies truly to need consistent contact with their parents. It's not cool to leave 5 month old babies for a reality tv show for 3 months. It's not exactly for a noble cause -- like being in the military.

Ask any child psychologist and they will tell you these two children will suffer major, permanent, and irreprabable social and psychological dammage by their mothers prolonged absence during this very formative age.

true they don't walk at 8 months but as a mother i can tell you they learn something new every single day, every wk, they bond with the sight, sound, and smell of their mother when they are infants..the first smile, the first attempt at verbal reaction to the mother's voice.. it's disgusting to me that she did this.. and don't forget that she could easily be stuck in sequester if voted out too late.
