Todd Falcone discussed the highly debated issue over recruiting from genealogy lists. In this short vid, he lays out his very firm opinion on why it is GENERALLY a very bad choice. A good vid to watch for those of you who are recruiting in this manner.
PT-2 Besides, I've never bought a geneology list, I do talk to networkers and that is my golden rule for doing it without hurting anyone. If they're happy where they're at, then I thank them and hang up. If they're unhappy, I find out why and maybe move to the next step. But I would never do anything unethical, its not my nature. As for not knowing who I'm talking to-it's the same with leads! But leads have no experience, networkers DO. So I talk to them when I can. But no Geneology lists.

How is it raping and pillaging someone's org. if the company is out of business? That's no. 1, No 2. I always ask if they're still with the company, if they're actively working the business, and making money. If all 3 are NO answers then I can introduce them to my biz. If they're Active, happy and making money, what's the point? I'm outta there.
If they're NOT making money & being taken advantage of, then I WANT to get them out of that. I don't like to see people get raped and pillaged either.

Mark,
I agree.
As I understand the "genealogy strategy", is that the lists are from distressed companies or "opt-in lists" of mlm'ers looking for a better one.
Todd is right - I wouldn't go pillaging other down lines of active people or good companies, but when problems are looming they will need a new home.

Todd I haven't seen any training that promotes raping someones genealogy list, what I have seen is an opinion that many of the top earners in MLM built there downlines quickly recruiting network marketers in fact every CEO of a network marketing company recruits network marketers, they don't recruit friends or family or opportunity seekers at first , that is the theory behind this method.
