Frank Martin - The Tempest

This is for a dear friend. The final scene of the opera "Der Sturm" based on Shakespeare's "The Tempest" by the Swiss composer Frank Martin. Martin set the German translation by August Wilhelm von Schlegel of the original Shakespeare. The opera was premiered in 1956. The final scene is the Epilogue spoken by Prospero.

I've just started listening to Frank Martin the last 6 months. I've been a classical lover since the eighties and never heard of him. I'm a fan!!! He was very gifted. I'm in the process of buying many of his works.

Never heard this before, but I'm doing the mass for double choir at the moment, so thought I'd have a listen - and it was awesome! And I'm not even much of an opera fan at all!
