President Bush expressed hope that Cuba will begin a transition to democracy following the end of Fidel Castro's decades-long regime.
"The international community should work with the Cuban people to begin to build institutions that are necessary for democracy," Bush said during a news conference with the president of Rwanda.
"Eventually, this transition ought to lead to free and fair elections — AND I MEAN FREE, AND I MEAN FAIR — not these kind of staged elections that the Castro brothers try to foist off as true democracy," Bush said.'

  • @Marck0939 the fact that you call countries (which you share a cultural background with, and an ethnic background with banana) republics is very offensive. No matter how north american you wish to be, you will always belong to latin america first, so by calling a country a banana republic, you are pretty much spitting on yourself. Which is a shame..... a real shame....

  • @italndiva No one in US steals votes neither the democrats nor the Republicans, this is not a Banana Republic, much less a communist country.Come on!

  • @Marck0939 IF you look I wrote this 2 years ago. He stole votes, FACT, he dictated the USA in many ways. I do not have time I have moved on... YOU move on and PISS OFF
