A quick trip round my area.

I recently passed my bike test (October 2008) and this is the "sequel" to my car video!

The bike is a 1997 Honda NTV 650 and the camcorder is attached the the handlebars with a RAM Mount kit. You can see how well it holds the camera! It's the roads that are bumpy, not the camera wobbling :)

I left home last year and no longer live in Newcastle, hence the change of scene. If you are thinking about learning to ride a motorbike, go for it - it's a lot of fun and pretty cheap to keep your bike on the road.

  • Well, that's two things we have in common... Motorcycles and the Amiga =D

Currently getting about on a CB500 since passing my test this time last year.

    Safe riding!

  • @stevieu83 Nice! :D I do like those CBs. I really should post a newer video, the bike has a Micron exhaust silencer on now, attached by a home-made Y-piece to the downpipes. It sounds like the end of the world now. :D

    Cheers :)

  • ur bike sounds well nice but i rather prefer cars , theyre much safer than bikes

  • thanks :)

  • Nice, that looks like fun! Good to see you were patient and waited behind the 4x4 in the first part, rather than overtaking on those narrow twisty roads :)

  • Ii just court a hazzard 0:56 Does that mean i get 5 points? Lol man you could give this to DSA And there could add to there hazzard list lol.

  • Nice bike NTV sounds good and agricultural, looks like Scotland your in there with the roads???, hope you dont mind me saying but as your quite new to riding for your sake road position you'll have to work on, 4.50 r/hand curve you should be to the left, if there was a car behind the one we see he wouldnt see you and could pull out to overtake, put yourself where you can see better and be seen, ride safe

  • Cool vid, i'm trying to convince my Dad to get into bikes again (last time was late 70's - early 80's).

  • change car tyres

  • Nice mate, thing is if you dont ride in thoughs conditions you'll never be out riding in this country, 5's .you still got it ?

  • Nice vid mate. I've got a '95 NTV and agree with your 'tractor' comment about the gearbox - the only weak point on these bikes and best described as 'agricultural'...

Other than that they're excellent - low maintenance, cheap, easy to ride, superb in and out of town and masses of fun. Got a Viper exhaust on mine which makes it sound incredible and will soon be fitting a much-needed screen to make motorways a little more comfortable!
